The story of “Moştenitorii”

 

The children folk dance ensemble Moştenitorii (Successors) from the Rîşcani town, Republic of Moldova begins his story in 1994 at the Children’s Resting House and its goal is to promote among children choreographic skills and the love for the national popular creation.

In our artistic program you can find the most beautiful and the most interesting original Moldavian folk dances. The repertoire of “Mostenitorii” is rich and interesting – about 20 dances and traditions from our country. It includes “Joc mare”, “Sîrba”, “Polca din bătrîni”, “Zestrea”, “Ciuleandra”, “Hora de sărbătoare” and other dances.

By its prodigious activity,”Moștenitorii” is a messenger of our national art abroad. Ensemble took part at the International Folklore festivals in following countries:

During its activity, the group  has performed many concerts and participated in many festivals, where it has been awarded various valuable prizes, the most prestigious one being The Grand Prix at the National Choreographic Festival for Children “Alunelul” in 2002 and “Vatra Horelor” National Choreographic Festival in 2007.
